The latest/existing deal ends next summer but already there have been reports that the club are likely to stay with Puma.
So what exactly do Newcastle United get from the arrangement?
A new report has compiled a table of all the current 20 Premier League kit deals and they are worth a total of £389.5m for this season.
That is an average of around £19.5m per club but some big differences between those at the top and the bottom.
The report is from Off The Pitch and they say that ‘All the figures in the table have been sourced from one or both sides of the deals concerned, and all have been run past the clubs for pre-publication checks.’
Their report states:
Premier League clubs have generated record combined kit supplier deals worth £389.5 million for the 2019/20 season – a rise of over 30 per cent.
The eye-watering amount from the 20 kit deals illustrates the commercial strength of the Premier League.
Conrad Wiacek, head of sponsorship at Sportcal, told offthepitch.com: “The rise is mainly down to the beginning of Arsenal’s and Manchester City’s new agreements with Adidas and Puma, respectively.”
The Off The Pitch table:
As you can see, Man Utd at the top earning £75m this season, with Watford at the other end of things, only £750,000.
Newcastle United are ninth top, earning a reported £6.5m this season, with the top six and Southampton & Everton banking more.
