Premier League recent form table is interesting reading for Newcastle and West Brom
The Premier League recent form table makes better reading for both Newcastle and West Brom than before this six match period.
After the opening four matches of the season, Newcastle and West Brom had two points each.
However, the last six games have seen West Brom in the sixth best form, closely followed by Newcastle in seventh.
The two clubs have each picked up 11 points out of 18, though the Baggies’ goal difference over the course of these half a dozen matches was better.
West Brom have beaten Spurs (A), Burnley (H) and Leicester (A), drawn with Manchester United (H) and Crystal Palace (H), the only defeat at Liverpool.
Newcastle meanwhile have beaten Leicester (H), Spurs (A) and Liverpool, drawn with Hull (H) and Swansea (A), with the only loss coming at Stoke.
All in all it adds up to a match between two teams seemingly on the up but who will prove the form?
Below is listed how many points each team have won in their last six matches;
15 Southampton
14 Chelsea
13 Manchester City
13 West Ham
11 Arsenal
11 West Brom
11 Newcastle
8 Everton
8 Liverpool
8 Manchester United
8 Stoke
8 Sunderland
7 Crystal Palace
7 Spurs
6 Swansea
6 Hull
4 QPR
4 Leicester
2 Burnley
0 Aston Villa
Bit of a shame for the Villa fans!
