Coming out publicly and saying that he (Alan Pardew) wants Andy Carroll is a bit of a worry. There’s no way Newcastle United, irrespective of whatever formation Pardew comes up…
Alan Pardew; “The fee was astronomical, we have used it well (signing Cisse, Cabaye, Ba etc.), the position we are in, if I’m honest, is because we used the money from Andy’s sale well.
I’m not old enough to remember the day Kennedy was shot (although I remember JF###Kinnear arriving at SJP) but I can still remember exactly what I was doing when I heard Keegan…
The chances of Mike Ashley covering City type wages would appear non-existent and at the age of 31 he doesn’t exactly fit the profile of Newcastle’s accepted transfer policy.
Obviously spotting which is the one (transfer) that won’t get away is the tricky bit. Plus of course Debuchy being double friendly with Cabaye didn’t make things happen in the summer.
Newcastle could sign him as you are allowed to be registered for three clubs in a season but the chances of Mike Ashley paying Carroll to not play for 6 or 7 months are…unlikely.
