The FA have revealed their decision on Newcastle’s appeal against the red card and three game ban on Vurnon Anita.

It has been revealed that Newcastle United consulted Mark Halsey before deciding to challenge the Fabricio Coloccini red card against Sunderland.

Coloccini: “We lost three points and we lost the derby…that is why I cannot be too happy about winning the appeal – it does not change these things.”
