Various press reports this morning state Alan Pardew is looking to sell Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa in January and use the proceeds on an ‘English’ style centre-back.

It would be funny if it weren’t so serious but while Newcastle’s centre-backs are a shambles, Mapou is starring in the Champions League for AS Roma.

So will Alan Pardew only make that one enforced change at left-back or will he leave out some of his big hitters despite dragging them over to the Ukraine in the nineteen man squad?
