Lee Clark is facing the toughest battle of his managerial career so far but when asked if he might throw in the towel, his response put a smile on my face.
“My aim is to help the kids of Walker and my best day is when they walk out onto that pitch with the black and white on. I have been very successful and put 47 kids in, out of those 47 I’ve had 23 in the Newcastle first team.”
With the mad way the club is being run, just who would take the job, well one person sticks out in the betting AND he has done the job beware…at least make some money out of the madness!
Lovenkrands is guaranteed a great reception if his path crosses United’s again, if not for his goals tally, but for his passion, tremendous workrate, important goals, and most of all, his love and commitment to the club, thank you Peter.
Clark has been spoken about in terms of possibly being a future manager at St.James’ Park and certainly he had a fine football brain (though I don’t know which part of his brain was in use when he signed for the mackems) when he played in black & white.
