Good to see Newcastle United loan players James Tavernier and Haris Vuckic making a real impact, Vuckic scoring a wonder winner for Rotherham yesterday.
The club are said to be prepared to allow Gael Bigirimana, Curtis Good, Adam Campbell, Haris Vuckic, and Gabriel Obertan to go out on loan, but there are no takers.
There is a reason why Bigirimana has featured in the first team already at St.James’ Park, as well as injuries creating opportunities he is clearly our best younger player and looks a knocking bet to play top level football.
I’m sure it was never in the manager’s mind to keep Ba on for the full match but with two forced substitutions he had to keep the third in reserve, the front man worked hard but the service was sparse to say the least.
Haris Vuckic is expected to stay at Cardiff on loan until the end of the season. The writing must be on the wall for younger players if they don’t stand out playing at these lower levels, so they are literally fighting for their long-term future at St.James’ Park.
