When I heard last night that there were pictures going around supposedly showing Glasgow Rangers merchandise available in Newcastle United official club shops, I thought good on somebody for giving us a laugh because clearly this could only be a spoof.

Taking the above at face value, clearly the contract is between you and Sports Direct if you buy something, NOT Newcastle United.

The only question therefore, is whether the money (profit) is then funnelled back into the football club’s coffers…or not?

At least at home matches with everybody around me a season ticket holder I’m pretty safe from jokers wearing stuff like that but I’ve already got a headache thinking about the next away trip to Wigan!
