The article suggests that the seats are comparable with the home fans and therefore shouldn’t pay any less. Yet the view that visitors to St James’ Park get is miles better than we get going elsewhere – full view of the stadium, the Newcastle skyline and countryside from a single position; it is possibly the best view in the ground.
Brighton last season I have to say was a great trip over 2 days, I am still amazed how friendly I found everyone, even great banter with female cops on the Friday night & the local women even chatted to us! My mate nearly bought a dog at 2am in the morning on his way back to the hotel and we even got to the south coast without one ticket check, remarkable.
Then the final insult is that invariably you see some players having to be cajoled at the final whistle to acknowledge the supporters. Some players might be feeling hard done to at the moment but they should always bear in mind the sacrifices made by those who pay their wages.
Demba Ba has been making his feelings known via twitter.
Newcastle fans were in great voice as those with tickets were given an escort on the long march from Bruges town centre to the stadium. Watch the video footage to see why Demba tweeted; “I don’t know who made up the new song about Yohan Cabaye, one of the best I’ve heard so far….best song at the park!”
