Now our attendances are brilliant, amazing. That’s not in question – but the actual support from Newcastle fans isn’t there.

The question – and the challenge – to all of us, is how will Newcastle fans react?

Two subtle reasons responsible for the Newcastle United winning run…this actually isn’t life or death and when the shackles come off – in the mind that is – we’ll win a large proportion of games.

Newcastle United – A question of confidence, if they can’t handle the pressure of being many people’s favourites in the Championship, then they really shouldn’t be here…

A few more quality players with these attributes would balance the Newcastle squad off nicely.

Yet there is one issue that remains unresolved and we need Rafa Benitez to bend Mike Ashley’s ear…

If Rafa Benitez doesn’t stay then I can’t see any realistic hope under Mike Ashley and believe we should attempt to push him towards the exit door.

Someone who will never be forgotten, not just for his footballing ability but for the manner in which he represented Newcastle United.

The orders of Rafa Benitez must be followed to the letter, which goes for Newcastle players AND fans.

I have wanted Steve McClaren to succeed as he came across as a decent man and I don’t like to see a manager be hounded without good reason…
