In the 80s, I refused to get involved with the campaign to get rid of McKeag et al. The reason being was I simply did not like or trust Hall. History has proved that he was only interested in the kudos and the money.

I like Pardew. He did an excellent job in season 2011/12. I am looking forward to a repeat of that season.

I see no reason why we cannot achieve a top 8 place and decent runs in the cups.

Then last night the mackems (a point behind United at kick-off) faced Stoke and an expected 3 points.

They draw 1-1 and the press today are all talking about the mackems’ point ‘won’ edging them towards safety.
