The results of the Newcastle v Everton player ratings by fans.

Always interested to see what supporters have collectively made of the latest performance, when using our interactive ratings system. Each player marked out of 10 and the averages below.

So, what about the individuals who played in this game that Newcastle United managed to lose, despite the home side only having one serious effort on goal all night?

Bruno Guimaraes (7.2) playing really well and I think in reality, deserving a significantly higher rating.

Your man of the match improving with every game he plays. Swarmed all around the pitch, linking play up and some very good passing, pretty much the only Newcastle player to really impress in the opposition half on Thursday night.

Only three other players were rated 6.0 or better by the Newcastle United fans.

Dan Burn (6.5) rated next best after Bruno G, a pretty faultless performance again, apart from being one of the Newcastle players that was caught out in the move that led to Iwobi’s goal.

Alongside the Geordie defender, Fabian Schar (6.4) putting in a similar level performance. Everton rarely threatened and that late late goal the only real serious effort on the NUFC goal.

Another defender amongst Newcastle’s four best performers, it wasn’t one of his best displays since arriving, but Matt Targett (6.2) still one of the best in black and white.

At the other extreme, three NUFC players rated lower than 5.0.

Chris Wood (4.0) lowest of all and whilst he wasn’t great, yet again Newcastle not really playing to his strengths by getting down the sides and putting in a decent supply of crosses. Had a couple of half chances that he should have done better with.

Miguel Almiron (4.9) has really lost his way, looked a real player in those early days under Rafa Benitez but over two years with Steve Bruce looks to have wrecked him.

Joe Willock (4.9) came back into the team after illness but struggled to repeat the form of recent months, Newcastle lacking inspiration against a poor Everton side who defended deep.

The other four Newcastle players rated 5.somethings and all under par.

Emil Krafth (5.1) once again a weak link in the team, whilst Ryan Fraser (5.2) was another who failed to come up with the creativity to break down what was arguably the worst opposition Newcastle had faced all season.

As with Fraser and Willock, Joelinton (5.4) struggling to impose himself and match his previous highs under Eddie Howe. Maybe not 100% as he struggles with an ongoing groin issue.

Martin Dubravka (5.7) didn’t do a lot wrong but in the key moment, should have arguably done better with the goal. Iwobi’s shot was towards the middle of the goal and maybe the keeper’s positioning wasn’t ideal.

Below are the ratings as voted by Newcastle fans up to 12pm Saturday:
