Talksport excellent on Mike Dean after Liverpool fiasco
I know these words aren’t said very often but…this is excellent from Talksport.
The shambles that was the refereeing performance at Anfield on Thursday night, has predictably been rather differently reported generally in the media, compared to what we know would have happened if Liverpool had been on the receiving end.
Nice to see it being evened up to a small extent.
Whilst obviously most of Talksport is woeful, due to their overwhelming reliance on lining up mainly thick former players to antagonise fans with deliberately provocative comments, they do have an odd decent presenter or two.
Paul Hawksbee and Andy Jacobs have been on Talksport for a long time and are easily the most credible people on the radio station.
Paul Hawksbee and Andy Jacobs speaking on Talksport:
“I mean, honestly.
“What is wrong with these referees?
“He has got two players with a head injury down in the box and he doesn’t stop the game.
“And whenever players are injured in the box, there is always a goal.
“It just disrupts the defence, panic ensues…I don’t know what it is.
“But he [Mike Dean] had time to stop it.
“Look, Liverpool would have won, Liverpool would have won anyway.
“But it was incredibly poor refereeing, the standard of our referees is so bad.”
“Can Mike Dean go?”
“Yes, he should have gone years ago, let’s be honest.”
