St James Park WITHOUT Sports Direct – Newcastle United publish first photo
Sports Direct made the headlines regarding Newcastle United on Monday.
On Monday morning an image (see below) circulated on social media, apparently showing the Sports Direct signs coming down at St James Park.
Not surprisingly, there were doubts amongst fans as to whether this image was genuine.
No surprise after over 14 years of this horrific type of imagery blighting our stadium.
Happily, the club swiftly confirmed to the media that the Sports Direct signs were indeed coming down at St James Park.
Then on Tuesday, there was more good news regarding removing the last remaining reminders of Mike Ashley, who had been using the football club solely to promote his Sports Direct empire.

As you can see, Sports Direct had been removed.
Now on Wednesday afternoon, the club have released the first photo of St James Park WITHOUT Sports Direct tainting it.

I can’t wait for Man City at home on Sunday 19 December 2021, walking into St James Park and seeing it in all its glory one again…at last.
Only one place for Mike Ashley’s branding!
