The results of the Newcastle v Burnley player ratings by fans, Eddie Howe experiencing that winning feeling for the first time at NUFC.

Always interested to see what supporters have collectively made of the latest performance, when using our interactive ratings system. Each player marked out of 10 and the averages below.

Newcastle United getting their first win and clean sheet, climbing off the bottom of the table, so what about the individuals who contributed to that victory?

At the very top of the tree, Callum Wilson (7.7).

A brilliant cool goal when the pressure was on, that is six goals in eleven matches for the striker, please stay fit!

Those six goals have came from only 23 shots, a very impressive 26% conversion rate for the number nine.

Two other players rated 7.0 or above.

The revelation that is Joelinton (7.4), just pipped for top spot the Brazilian gave another all action display in midfield and supporting Callum Wilson.

Speaking of players benefiting from the arrival of Eddie Howe…

He did really well on Tuesday but even better on Saturday, Jamal Lewis (7.2) very good against Burnley. Steve Bruce paid £15m for the left back and then refused to give him a single PL game after February, even though Ritchie was struggling so badly when trying to defend on the left.

Seven other players all rated 6.3 or higher, with a trio of them all just missing out on a score of 7.0, all rated 6.9 by fans we have Jonjo Shelvey, Javier Manquillo and Miguel Almiron. Once again, all three of these showing the benefits of being released from the Steve Bruce experience.

The only play to fall below the 6.0 line was Joe Willock (5.8).

Nobody had a bad game on Saturday and this was probably Willock’s best effort so far this season, maybe just needs time under the new coaching team to find the kind of form we saw last season.

Below are the ratings as voted by Newcastle fans up to 7.30am Monday:
