The elephant in the room at Newcastle United

When Steve Bruce first got the Newcastle United job I was fuming.

I hated the way he upped his game back in his playing days against us for his beloved manyoo and then his delirious reaction at the SOS when that lot equalised against us.

At the time, I didn’t even know what kind of football Steve Bruce presided over, as I didn’t care.

So then we see money thrown at him under Mike Ashley to fashion a mid-table team into something better. He manages to maintain the league position thereabouts without any improvement.

Fast forward to this season and we are really starting to see the chickens come home to roost.

This might be an ageing squad but it’s a squad that still contains a couple of decent central defenders that he opts not to play. His tactics speak for themselves – horrendous stats from one game to the next, winless runs, goals conceded etc etc.

There is hardly a negative record that Steve Bruce hasn’t got his name on…but apparently we are asking too much for him to be replaced.

What annoys me almost as much as losing, is this media pressure that somehow we are being unfair and that he should get a chance. WTF! He’s well into his third season and we are, make no mistake about it, going down.

At what point does he and his mates around him, think his position is untenable?

How far towards relegation do we have to fall?

All the way I’m guessing by the reaction of most of the media morons.

We need rid of him and his cronies. I’m sick of hearing about all his excuses.

This bloke is dragging us down and we need to change direction before it’s too late. Let him go to some other club, just not mine.
