Questions Steve Bruce will be asked at his press conference and what he SHOULD have been asked

Steve Bruce will face the media on Friday morning.

Just over 24 hours to go until Newcastle United take on Man Utd at Old Trafford.

Having become so used to the ridiculously matey questions ‘Brucey’ gets asked by his journalist friends…

Here are a few that I think should be / should have been asked.

First of all the likely type of questions that have been / will be asked, then the version that SHOULD have been asked…

How did you enjoy your holiday?

Why did you go on holiday only two weeks into the season with the team and club such a mess?

As a proud Newcastle United fan, what do you hope to achieve this season?

As a proud Manchester United fan, how many trophies do you think ‘United’ will win this season?

How heartened have you been to draw with Southampton and ‘not losing on the night’ against Burnley?

After losing to Burnley and so lucky to get a point against Southampton, after having been outplayed most of the game and having only 36% possession at home against a relegation rival, what hope is there?

You have been so unlucky with penalties in all three Premier League games, can you believe how bad your luck has been and when the fates will stop conspiring against you?

When are you going to stop using (correct) VAR decisions on penalties as excuses for doing so badly?

How unlucky are you to now be without Wilson and Almiron at Old Trafford, two of your biggest attacking threats?

You have said only fair to judge when best attacking players are available and yet results and performances so poor despite Wilson, Almiron, ASM, Willock all on the pitch, what is your excuse now?

You often say how difficult it is to compete with the big clubs (other 19 in the Premier League!) because of their resources, just how difficult is this season going to be with such little backing you have had?

Rafa Benitez built a mid-table Newcastle United team with zero net spend, you inherited that mid-table team and have been allowed a £125m+ net spend on top of that, how have you managed to make the team worse?

How great do you think Mike Ashley is?

How embarrassing is it to be humiliated by Mike Ashley with that statement and yet not resign?
