The results of the Newcastle v Leeds player ratings by fans.

Always interested to see what supporters have collectively made of the latest performance, when using our interactive ratings system.

Each player marked out of 10 and the averages below.

Another Premier League home match and another black and white man of the match performance for Allan Saint-Maximin (8.3).

Scored a brilliant goal and was once again asked by Steve Bruce to pretty much do it all himself, in terms of being a threat to Leeds.

Only two other Newcastle players managed  a score of 6.0 or better.

Karl Darlow (6.5) making a decent return to the team, although fans will be split as to whether he could have done better with the goal. Those inswinging crosses that end up getting no touch off anybody as they flash across, a real nightmare for keepers.

Another solid determined performance from Javier Manquillo (6.1), once again showing he is by far the best option on the right side of defence.

Three Newcastle players picked out as particularly weak on the day, compared to teammates.

Jamaal Lascelles (4.5) with the very lowest rating from fans, the weakest of the three central defenders and no leadership skills visible.

Some Newcastle fans claimed that Joelinton (4.6) was better than usual but clearly that wasn’t the view of the vast majority. Or indeed the majority did think the Brazilian did better BUT it still wasn’t good enough.

Sean Longstaff (4.9) a bit wayward in midfield, gifting possession far too often to the opposition.

The other five Newcastle starters placed in the 5.something bracket by NUFC fans.

Ritchie (5.7) and Almiron (5.6) rated the best of the five as they both battled away. Ritchie hitting the post with a deflected effort but once again weak in defence.

Willock (5.5) not too bad in midfield, whilst Hayden (5.3) and Clark (5.1) completed a trio of centre-backs who struggled. Steve Bruce and his team, especially defence, grateful for poor finishing from a Leeds team who created plenty of great chances.
