Welcome to Yesville
Finally, some positive news coming out of Newcastle United on Friday.
The capture of Joe Willock.
Converting a loan term last season to a long term deal, which was welcomed by all.
After Newcastle United and Arsenal agreed on a fee, it seemed like forever and a day to finally get it over the line, with rumours aplenty around the stalling points.
However, around 5pm on Friday 13th, Newcastle United announced the signing.
Did we sign him in time to play on Sunday I hear you ask?
Did we f*ck.
In typical Newcastle United fashion, every silver lining has a cloud.
Meanwhile though, in Yesville, the Mayor Mr Bruce had the following to say:
“I want to thank Lee Charnley in particular for the work he has put in to make the deal happen. The club have gone above and beyond to make it possible.”
The club chipped in with a statement and finished it on a positive note…
“The club can confirm that he will be available for selection for next week’s Premier League match against Aston Villa.”
Loosely translated to…we failed yet again at arranging a p*ss up in the brewery for this weekend.
Above and beyond my backside.
