Newcastle v Burnley player ratings results from NUFC fans – Interesting cup feedback

The results of the Newcastle v Burnley player ratings by fans.

Always interested to see what supporters have collectively made of the latest performance, when using our interactive ratings system.

Each player marked out of 10 and the averages below.

A nice comeback from Javier Manquillo (5.9) to top the NUFC ratings, having been totally ignored by Steve Bruce, not even making the bench in the Premier League games.

The best defender (not much competition!) at right back / right wing back, will Steve Bruce consider keeping him in for Southampton? Possibly moving Jacob Murphy further up the pitch, which is his strength, rather than defending.

The only other player to be rated 5.0 or less is Freddie Woodman (5.3), a clean sheet and a good save for one of the penalties, the other four gave him no chance.

Only three other starters rated 4.0 or better – Ciaran Clark, Sean Longstaff and Jamaal Lascelles.

Whilst at the bottom of the pile we had Joelinton (3.2) and Dwight Gayle (3.4), neither doing anything that would convince they deserve a chance on Saturday in the Premier League.

Apologies for it taking a little longer than usual in bringing these Newcastle v Southampton player ratings.
