Our Newcastle United lottery ticket is being stolen

If anyone hasn’t listened to Jim White quizzing Simon Jordan (on Talksport) about the Newcastle United takeover issues, then I suggest they take a look.

Simon Jordan is a man with an obvious agenda against Newcastle United and the North East in general, but has basically stated, that regardless of a favourable arbitration in the club’s favour, it won’t mean a jot because the so-called “Big 6” call the tune and they simply don’t want this Newcastle United takeover to happen.

As far as he is concerned and is stating, it is that our other anti-competition (CAT) case is futile because the “Big 6” basically run the EPL, and Masters and co are there to agree and cater for their every whim.

I think Jim White is great and you know deep down that he is batting for us, but I also believe on this occasion, Simon Jordan is being completely honest and transparent.

After all, isn’t transparency all that has been asked for by the consortium of willing buyers, MPs and Newcastle United during this whole process?

Jordan’s petulant attitude towards Amanda Staveley is unwarranted but he is the first person to actually tell everyone that the EPL are totally bent to the core.

I’m sure Ashley’s lawyers in the CAT (Competition Appeals Tribunal) that is set to resume, know fine well what they are up against, but I hope Nick De Marco and Shaheed Fatima don’t go into the arbitration hearing later this month believing they are fighting a lost cause.

How the hell anyone couldn’t prove this anti-competition suit is beyond me now, so it may take a few rabbits being pulled from the hat in arbitration, to finally bring down the corruption that is there for all to see.

I believe it will be proved in the arbitration that there was a differential between the PIF and Mohammed Bin Salman – definite separate entities.

Whether that will be enough unless there is swift and direct intervention from senior politicians and the Prime Minister himself to get this through, against this dishonest patsy project supposedly running the EPL, is another matter.

For me, this will finally be: “What is the point in carrying on, knowing you cannot aspire to be the best you possibly could have been”, because Camelot went and burnt your lottery ticket on purpose!
