‘Nobody up here likes a bit of Brucey’

There is one man in particular out there, who talks in a daft and watered down Geordie accent similar to Chris Waddle, who will be hoping that the potential Newcastle United takeover eventually doesn’t materialise.

No prizes for guessing that this fella is the biggest pretentious charlatan ever to have been given the privilege of managing our once famous club… Newcastle United.

Following in the footsteps of legends like Joe Harvey, Kevin Keegan and Sir Bobby Robson without any of their local knowledge or deep affection towards the region, was never going to be a problem to a man who has had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus.

At the back end of last season’s battle with relegation, Steve Bruce decided to throw his players under the bus after a terrific away win at Leicester City. A man with no scruples and an obvious code of self-preservation at all costs… it became obviously apparent that this was his mantra.

Steve Bruce would have been the last manager on any true fans’ wishlist after the forced departure of Rafa Benitez.

Always whining and having a pop at Newcastle during his later playing days at Man Utd, he then surpassed himself as Sunderland manager by questioning our Geordie etiquette after we gave the mackems a good hiding… and played a celebratory record after the final whistle at St James Park that he disapproved of.

In the summer of 2020 when the consortium wishing to buy Newcastle finally ran out of patience with the corrupt EPL, I watched on open-mouthed the next day as Steve Bruce gleefully gave interviews expressing his obvious relief and spouting the usual rubbish about “dusting ourselves down” and carrying on regardless.

Well the consortium never went away and as we are now into the CAT anti-competition suit with an arbitration to follow with the formidable Nick De Marco and Shaheem Fatima spearheading our legal challenge…a successful outcome will only have one person out there sulking.

Ashley is ready to bail out now and Steve will be left high and dry.

Regardless of the fact that this inept individual will walk away with millions in compensation, I am sure that all true Geordies will be happy to see the back of this fawning, sickly head coach when hopefully ambitious new owners set foot inside what should be a great club and City.

What I will say, is that Steve Bruce has always been on a hiding to nothing and that’s why Ashley deliberately gave him the job… to annoy us.

I and many others don’t like Bruce, never will…and cannot wait to say “Good Riddance and don’t show your face up here again because you are not welcome!”
