Newcastle United fans have been issued with advice of tonight’s match at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster Rovers giving information (see below) to both their own supporters and the 3000+ Newcastle United fans who are making the trip.

It is the first (a number of unofficial NUFC supporters were at the defeat to York on Sunday) official allocation of away tickets for Newcastle United fans for over 16 months.

The last time Newcastle fans were allowed to travel to a match was back on 7 March 2020, the visiting supporters seeing NUFC beat Southampton 1-0 thanks to an ASM goal.

It is a 7pm kick-off tonight and no tickets are on sale today, no turnstiles to pay on the night either.

Any Newcastle fans needing to collect pre-booked tickets, these will be available from 4.30pm at the south collection point, which is at the opposite end of the stadium to the away entrance and is to the right of the Doncaster Rovers box office.

Doncaster Rovers pre-match information:

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday night, we have missed you.

It is hard to believe that 16 months have gone by since we last welcomed fans into the stadium.

Since it was confirmed that spectators could return to sporting events across the country, we have been working hard to create a fun and safe environment for you to call home.

Here is what you should expect on matchday:

Facemasks

Although facemasks will not be mandatory within the stadium, the club supports any individuals wishing to wear them. You may also see some of our staff around the ground wearing face coverings please don’t be offended by an individual’s choice on this matter.

Social distancing

While social distancing measures have been removed by the Government, we understand that some of our supporters may feel apprehensive being at a sporting event with so many people in attendance. Please be courteous and respectful in trying where possible to maintain a safe distance when queuing. NHS track and trace will also be available inside the stadium and we encourage supporters to use it as they enter the ground.

Socially distanced seating

The club are keen to ensure everyone feels comfortable and have allocated parts of the ground which provide a socially distanced seating experience. If when you arrive you wish to take this option up, please let the nearest steward know.

If there is a point during the game when you start to feel uncomfortable due to the proximity of others, or people around you not wearing facemasks, please speak to a steward and we will aim to find alternative seating for you to ensure you can continue to enjoy your experience.

No cash gates and ticket collection point

Supporters are advised to purchase tickets early for the game, as there will be no cash gates on the night.

Unfortunately we have not been able to extend late night opening due to staff members isolating, but you can purchase your tickets online at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.

The Club Doncaster Box Office will be open up until kick-off, and pre-ordered tickets can be collected from the Club Doncaster Enterprise Zone reception (based in the Polypipe South Stand). Please aim to arrive as early as possible to avoid queuing and congestion around the stadium.

Both home and away ticket collections will be at the same point, with a window available for each.

Barcode access

You will find a barcode on your match ticket. Please scan using the equipment provided – there will be turnstile operators on hand to assist if needed.

Wifi

Every concourse now has its own wifi. However this has not yet been tested with large crowds on matchdays, so please feel free to test and provide us with feedback post-match.

West Stand players’ area

This is still classified as a red zone to try and limit interaction with players and reduce the spread of COVID-19 as well as losing players to self-isolation for 10 days at a key stage of the season.

We will look to review this post August 16 and will be speaking to the EFL regularly to ensure we are proactive in our approach.

There will be a red zone close to the players in the West Stand due to dugouts being removed, we ask that fans could respect this and keep at a safe distance.

Car parking

Silver Plus members should park in the relevant car park given to them

Other supporters will be located in car park three, but this is strictly a first-come, first-served basis.

Members of the media will also be asked to park in car park three.

Programmes

Matchday programmes will be available to purchase from the Box Office and at concourse kiosks.

There will be no half-time draw at this game.

Club Doncaster Shop

The Club Doncaster Shop will be open from 4.30pm on matchday, head in to purchase the brand new home and/or away shirts and get yourself all kitted out with the new season just around the corner! Matchday programmes will also be available from the shop.

Entertainment

There will be no family zone or matchday activities for the friendlies due to delivery staff self-isolating. We will look to bring these back for the league schedule.

Catering

Sudexo continue to be our onsite catering partners, and there will be catering vans outside the stadium as well as on the concourses.. Feel free to use these before entering.

There have been some price changes to specific items and meal deals, and unfortunately 1879 is no longer available due to the brewery reducing their product lines during COVID-19, but Sudexo are seeking to rectify this.

More contactless machines are onsite for you to use when purchasing at the kiosk, and please be assured we will be accepting cash and card payments throughout the stadium.

Smoking bubbles will still be in operation.

Big screen and TV’s around the stadium

Both have developed faults in the last seven days so may not be working. Engineers have been to the stadium in a bid to fix the problem but this has so far proved unsuccessful. A third visit is taking place on Friday morning, when it is hoped the problem will be fixed. We apologise for any inconvenience and wish to assure fans that we are working to get this rectified as soon as possible.

Belle Vue Bar and Rovers Square

This will be closed for friendlies as we continue to do our bit in helping to fight COVID-19 by using the facility as a vaccine centre. Drop-in appointments will be available on Friday and during Wednesday’s game against Sheffield United for those that wish to take advantage. Please make sure you are eligible by contacting the NHS.

Please note that Friday’s game will not be streamed live, highlights will be available on the club’s YouTube channel the day after the game.

We want you all to enjoy every second of your experience and thank you all for your patience as we welcome you home. We will give fans in attendance the opportunity to provide some feedback via a post-match survey.

Please respect everyone’s views. We are all part of the same family.
