‘Newcastle United Takeover time – Our day in court’
Let us not make any bones about it, the next six to eight weeks are set to be the most important in Newcastle United’s long history.
Now I’m not here to contemplate the raft of potential free transfers washing up on Geordie shores….or Andy Carroll’s new deal.
It is Newcastle United Takeover time folks and we are about to find out, just how much of a stranglehold the despicable cartel of the six leading English clubs really does have over Richard Masters and the other power brokers at the EPL.
Our un-illustrious leader has gone in with both barrels blazing, bringing an anti-competition CAT (Competition Appeal Tribunal) case, on top of the arbitration hearing which is set to be heard in July.
The Premier League have until 5pm tomorrow to submit paperwork as to why this CAT case could be possibly dismissed. Lord Roth is due to preside and what I would normally say is for us not to hold our breath…
However, this feels a little different to me, there is a real gut feeling of injustice in the air.
With the tail evidently wagging the dog after yesterdays Premier League paltry punishments…we are now left in no doubt that the traitorous gang of six will go to any lengths to sustain their monopoly.
After the collapse of the European Super League, the most important item now in their warped agenda is to finally block a potential powerhouse that a Newcastle United Takeover would bring about, new ambitious owners entering the fray and upsetting their apple carts.
This could be sorted out very quickly but I fear it wont and we will have to go into arbitration with Nick DeMarco holding the baton and leading from the front.
This gives me confidence that justice and common sense may finally prevail…..and the good people of this region will be granted the respect that a fair hearing on behalf of all parties should bring.
One thing is certain though and that I will never let the likes of Tottenham and those red scousers forget how they whinged and spat their dummies out, with regards to our little club…Newcastle United.
