How can Newcastle United fight off Spurs, Palace, Everton, Wolves to keep Steve Bruce?

A big summer lies ahead for Steve Bruce.

Next month will see the two year anniversary of him signing for Newcastle United.

For the first time ever, in July 2019 Mike Ashley paid millions in compensation to secure a new manager / head coach.

The big question now though is…How can Newcastle United hope to fight off Spurs, Palace, Everton and Wolves to keep Steve Bruce?

Not for a long time has there been so many Premier League clubs all looking for a new manager at the same time.

If it was only one club, Newcastle United could maybe hope to retain Steve Bruce BUT four???

A quartet all looking for the candidate with the right skill set and proven ability, it goes without saying they will be all over Steve Bruce like a rash surely?

What’s that I hear you say, Brucey’s hopeless and no other Premier League club could possibly be interested in him?

Don’t be silly, you would have to be really deluded to believe that.

Look at the evidence, surely all these pundits and journalists can’t be wrong, you know, all the ones saying how brilliant Steve Bruce is and what an astonishing job he is doing / has done at Newcastle United.

On top of that, we (Newcastle supporters) have also had fans of pretty much every other football club, including these four clubs desperate for a talented new manager, lecturing us about how excellent Steve Bruce is and has been in his time at St James Park.

There is a problem though, quite a puzzling one.

Out of all of the pundits, journalists and rival fans saying how good Steve Bruce is, I haven’t seen one of them saying that as he is so brilliant, he has to be one of the favourites to take over at Spurs, Everton, Wolves, or even Crystal Palace.

How bizarre, it surely must be an oversight, but no…

Steve Bruce is brilliant for Newcastle United but that apparently does not justify why another Premier League club would want him.

Help me, I’m confused.

If somebody proves themselves to be an excellent manager in the Premier League, other PL clubs will want them.

That is life, dog eat dog, the more ambitious / successful clubs will automatically look to who they can lure from elsewhere in the Premier League if losing their own boss, for whatever reason. The same with players.

Yet Steve Bruce is the exception, why?

You would almost think that all these journalists, pundits and rival fans aren’t been totally honest.

Imagine that?

Could it possibly be that it is all just a big wind up and opportunity to have a go at Newcastle fans, when they loyally back Steve Bruce, even when he has a run of only two wins in 21 games and NUFC supporters are subjected to the very worst unnecessarily negative football we have ever seen?

Could it be that all of these pundits and journalists aren’t been totally honest and / or subjective when discussing their big mate, Steve Bruce?

So, answers on a postcard please and bonus prizes for the best reasons / excuses.

Dear journalists, pundits and rival fans – Why should Everton, Palace, Spurs and Wolves not be interested in Steve Bruce, even though he has shown how brilliant he is at Newcastle United?
