Every Newcastle United PL match no longer shown on live TV – Will you miss it? Vote now

Today’s question is: ‘Will you miss it now not every Newcastle United Premier League match will be shown on live TV in UK?’

The virus situation had meant that every single Premier League match, including of course all NUFC ones, were shown live on TV in the UK.

This happening towards the end of the 2019/20 season and then throughout the whole of this latest 2020/21 season, though at one point you had the additional cost of a pay to view, even if you had all the usual packages (Sky, BT, Amazon…and BBC).

Bottom line though, you could (legally) watch every single Newcastle United Premier League match live, if you chose to do so.

Friday brought the first announcement of Premier League games selected for TV.

This is where reality hits home, of Newcastle’s three August matches, only one can be legally watched live if you are in the UK.

As you can see from the dates / info below, the home match against West Ham moved to Sunday 15th at 2pm for coverage by Sky Sports, whilst the Villa away game and Southampton home one are untouched, staying 3pm on Saturdays and no live TV coverage if you are in the UK.

Always possible things could change with the virus situation but this is the new reality unless something significant happens.

Only a third of NUFC Premier League matches in August able to be seen by Newcastle fans on live TV and that process set to continue, with probably between a third and half of NUFC PL games shown live.

Interested to see what you think, having got used to every match being available to watch, please answer the poll question below (obviously appreciate it if only UK based readers answer, though of course interested in any comments from those fans living overseas and whether they think being able to watch all games live is something they would miss, or indeed if they can’t access them all live wherever they are).
