Do the media know how many clubs there are in the English Premier League?
The so called Big Six were on the brink of deserting the English Premier League for supposed greater things (MORE money).
Despite the fact they were planning on taking revenues away from the Premier League, every time I turn on Sky Sports News, particularly The Football Show, all I hear is Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs etc.
Is it not enough that the EPL have promoted these teams for many years via the media, TV coverage, manipulation of officials and more. Sky are just as guilty of this via their constant coverage of these clubs.
There are numerous Premier League clubs who have supporters all over the UK and the world, do those fans not have the same rights to hear updates on their club, their players and their future developments. Yes they bloody well do, do they get to hear it, hell no.
It may be just me but has the issue of the Big Six involvement in the European Super League discreetly and purposely been swept under the carpet so that it will go away, as we all had expected it would be.
Should there not be a huge punishment imposed for the forthcoming season?
Should not each of the current Big Six owners have to retake the Premier League Owner and Director test. A BIG YES.
The only team punished thus far has been Newcastle United, for daring to seek a wealthy new owner twelve months ago, to maybe challenge the Big Six and their authority.
I would like to think that the fans of the other non-Big Six Premier clubs feel similar to myself.
How strange it is that since the Premier League are under threat of legal action from Newcastle United, from a number of positions, out of the blue the Entertainers documentary is aired on Sky and Steve Bruce of all people is awarded Manager of the Month for April.
Is this so that when questioned, the Premier League and Sky can respond with ‘yes we do support other clubs. Look what we have done recently.’
You have to laugh because they think that we don’t know how they are playing the game.
