Richard Keys disappointed Newcastle United ‘serial abusers’ haven’t withdrawn vile abuse
Newcastle United is an itch that Richard Keys can’t stop scratching.
The broadcaster finding it impossible not to keep returning to one of his favourite subjects.
Having a bit ‘banter’ with Newcastle United fans.
However, whilst he likes to dish it out, Richard Keys finds it difficult to take it.
Richard Keys writing on his personal blog -13 August 2018:
“Incidentally, the vile abuse you Geordies poured my way last week has led to one or two Police investigations. I’m fairly certain charges will follow.
“I’m always happy to exchange views – but let’s try and keep it out of the playground shall we?
“You do yourselves and your wonderful club a dis-service.”
Needless to say, that was the last we heard of that, in terms of prosecutions.
With no parade of guilty Newcastle United fans getting their collars felt by the Police.
However, 16 months after threatening NUFC fans with the law, Richard Keys hs returned to the subject of his NUFC ‘serial abusers’…
Richard Keys writing on his own personal blog:
“…you knew I was going to mention it – what about Brucey?
“Newcastle fans must be hating what he’s doing!
“He’s proving that not only Rafa can manage that club.
“He’s 10 points better off than the Toon weren’t this stage last season – and there’s not a hint of turmoil behind the scenes.
“I had hoped one or two of you serial abusers in the North East might’ve had the good grace to withdraw some of your vile abuse.
“No – I’m kidding.
“I knew you wouldn’t but I do hope the rest of your season continues as it is now.
“Oh – and you never know, Santa might yet have a surprise for you.”
Like so many in the media who pretend to be in the know, Richard Keys has previously claimed he had met with a potential buyer who was then in talks with Mike Ashley to buy Newcastle United.
Needless to say, nothing ever came of that either.
However, he doesn’t give up and that last comment (Santa might yet have a surprise for you) appears to be Richard Keys once again alluding to a possible sale of Newcastle United.
As it follows him doing something very similar five weeks ago…
Richard Keys on Twitter – 4 November 2019:
“Getting the feeling from what I’m hearing that this could yet turn out to be a very good week for Newcastle fans.”
I suppose if he keeps mentioning it every month or so then he will eventually be proved ‘right’, Richard Keys would love to be proved right about something one day.
