The Premier League form table as Newcastle United are set to face Sheffield United in the next match.

The form table making decent reading as we look ahead to Thursday night’s match.

Newcastle having won eight points in the last six games, with two wins, two draws and two defeats.

That places Newcastle United ninth in the Premier League form table.

As for Sheffield United, they are unbeaten in their last half dozen PL games and they are 5th in the form table with 10 points from the last possible 18.

They are actually unbeaten in their last seven PL matches and haven’t lost since Liverpool got a fortunate 1-0 away win at the end of September.

Tough to beat sums up the Blades unbeaten in all seven PL away games and only losing three of their 14 PL matches in total.

Currently seventh in the full PL table, Sheff Utd have drawn four of their last five matches and have seven draws in total. If they had turned just one of those into a win they would be in fifth in the top tier.

Newcastle have mostly struggled against the clubs they would be expecting to compete with, so it will be interesting to see how Steve Bruce’s side get on up to Christmas, with Sheffield United, Southampton, Burnley and Palace to play.

Here is the Premier League form table which covers the past six matches for all teams:
