Heartbreaking comments from Manchester City fans after Newcastle draw – They are in our thoughts…

Manchester City fans really are a breed apart now.

Unrecognisable from the fanbase over a decade ago, when the new owners came in and bought them success with ever bigger spending.

Rather than enjoying the success, being grateful and accepting that you can’t always be winning and at the top of your game, instead (with rare exceptions) the Manchester City fans just come across as the most obscene and grotesque examples of modern day football.

Just look at the comments below.

You would honestly think the world was against them and they had watched at St James Park their worst ever team put in their worst ever performance, in the history of the club.

There are odd exceptions but they represent a very very small minority.

Newcastle played well yesterday, defended with great resilience and scored two excellent goals.

However, Man City still played well overall (by most clubs’ standards…), created more than enough chances to win it, and on probably nine of ten occasions would have won based on chances created etc.

Anyway, read and enjoy!

Manchester City fans commenting via their Blue Moon message board;

‘Bye Pep.’

‘Two more dropped points, title race probably over. Sh…’

‘Not a bad thing really.

It’s the hope that kills you.’

‘Football is broken.’

‘Didn’t deserve anything more than that.’

‘League gone.

Need to make sure we get top 4.

That was dreadful today just like last week.’

‘Total garbage.’

‘It’s over, we’re not good enough this year.

Newcastle with 2 shots 2 goals.’

‘In what world would you not have someone stood next to shelvey for that free kick?

Absolute madness.’

‘Nowhere near good enough.

We need a new left back, centre back and a huge shake up in how we play.’

‘When did Ederson last make a meaningful save?’

‘Pretty sure that’s game over for us.

Shame but this squad has hit a wall.’

‘Boring, turgid football.’

‘Not at the races this season. Expensive surgery required unfortunately.’

‘Dreadful, out of the title race.

Big changes needed in the next 2 windows, our defence is awful (creativity wasn’t great today either) but we need a solid base to work from.’

‘No confidence or even competence on the ball.’

‘Apart from Kev. That was an absolute joke all round. Every single player was shocking and have been for weeks. Not one of them look like they know what they’re doing. And as for Pep, leaving subs that late?

I could see in the first half things needed changing. Terrible from pep too today.’

‘Shocking game for us.’

‘Sterling has been very very poor. All the praise has gone to his head, he thinks he is a star now and will just turn up to watch the game from the field.’

‘This was Guardiola’s fault. Selection was poor, he took far too long to make changes as well when it was clear that the plan was not working.

‘So poor. Nobody played well.’

‘Criminal to let them back in twice after going ahead against a tough defence.’

‘Utter rubbish, we have lost our sparkle , our quickness of play, handing it to the scousers on a plate.’

‘Two great seasons back to back. A poor season has followed. We were dealt a rough hand. Let’s salvage what we can from this one, and then re-group for the next.’

‘I said last season that people lacked perspective about this team when things didn’t go to plan. I get very tired of seeing people say we were sh..: we are almost never shit by comparison to other teams or even ourselves.’

‘Still can’t believe how bad we played.

From what I remember.

Newcastle. Maybe 3 or 4 proper attacks in 90 minutes, which lead to 2 goals.

I’ll leave it at that.’

‘I don’t usually let the game get to me but I must admit to feeling a bit down, losing the league before Christmas.’

One thing that I’ve noticed with this team now is that we are soft as fu..

Apart from Dinho, no other player wants to put a foot in, perfect example was the the Newcastle defender running past 3 players that was too scared to put a foot in.’

‘So annoying reading week in week out about how shit we are, gets right on my t.ts.

Let’s get it right, we are not sh.. ,we are one of the top football teams in the World, not England, not Europe, in the World.’

‘Just seen another angle on the Fernandinho ‘foul’. Wasn’t a foul.’

‘Walking out the ground today I suggested to a mate Newcastle barely had to do anything to get a point from that and the geordies overhearing me agreed.

They put in a bog standard performance yet looked comfortable against the champions for large periods of the match, that’s not right.’

‘These players better sort it out for next Saturday because I will proper loose my sh.. if I feel like this next Saturday night.’

‘Fans saying today’s city are sh.. ain’t got a scoobies.’

‘In the 2nd half what did the greatest coach change to turn it round. Fu.. all is the answer.

Dreadfully predictable Pep -get your sh.. sorted.’

‘Jesus wept, there really is a faction of our fan base that have become utterly spoilt tw.ts. The reaction not only today but this season is truly pathetic.’

‘Didn’t watch the match but damn 2 more points dropped.’
