A great win on Saturday but who were the stand out individuals for fans?

Four players were put well ahead of the rest by Newcastle supporters, a very tight decision for man of the match.

Just edging it was Allan Saint-Maximin (8.1) who caused West Ham all kinds of problems with his pace and dribbling. If he had been able to finish the chances he created ASM would surely have been nine point something.

Just edged into second place was Jonjo Shelvey (8.0), played a part in the build up to the first two goals hit the bar and scored the winner from 30 yards.

Next up were the other two goalscorers.

Fernandez (7.9) and Clark (7.8) showing the strikers how to finish and putting in very good shifts at the back.

As for those who didn’t do so well, maybe a surprise that as many as four players fell below the 7.0 line.

Yedlin (6.3) wasn’t great and his lack of quality further up the pitch was evident yet again.

However, I think Joelinton (6.7) very unfortunate to be marked so low. An assist for the Clark goal and his hold-up play was very decent.

Martin Dubravka (6.8) could maybe have done a little better on the first West Ham goal but otherwise put in a good shift. Whilst Lascelles (6.9) did ok but was overshadowed by the other two centre-backs.

The remaining trio all had good games.

Isaac Hayden (7.4) came back in and anchored the midfield, whilst Almiron (7.4) probably had his best game of the season so far and if only he could have finished that chance ASM laid across to him…

Jetro Willems (7.3) was steady on the left both up and down the pitch, also claiming an assist for Fernandez’ goal with a deep cross.
