Newcastle United hammer Jose Mourinho’s young Tottenham stars 5-2

Jose Mourinho’s young Tottenham stars visited Tyneside on Saturday.

The final game in the Premier League Group to see who progressed.

The Newcastle United Under 18s having lost 3-2 against Stoke and beating West Ham in their first two group matches.

Maybe Tottenham didn’t quite fancy the weather on Saturday morning at Little Benton, as the rain continued to fall.

Joe White opening the scoring with a free-kick from on 17 minutes.

Then only seconds later it was 2-0, Kain Reed scoring this time.

Making it three goals in five minutes, it was Kain Reed with his second reacting quickest when the ball came back off the bar.

It looked game over at that point but credit to Tottenham as they fought back, scoring twice before the break to leave it 3-2 at half-time to United.

An even second-half until with 20 minutes remaining, Josh Scott restored the two goal advantage.

Josh Harrison rubbing it in with five minutes remaining, when completing the scoring for the home side.

The 5-2 win also means that Newcastle United topped Premier League Cup Group E and progress.
