Fans choice of this Newcastle team v West Ham
We asked fans the question, which 11 players would you pick in your Newcastle team v West Ham?
We put together a list of the 22 players who looked as though they could potentially be selected for this game.
On Friday morning, Steve Bruce indicated that four players were definitely ruled out.
The Head Coach saying that Matt Ritchie and Florian Lejeune are still working their way back to full fitness, whilst Sean Longstaff is suspended.
Schar is also still absent after picking up a knee injury at Chelsea.
However, Andy Carroll is now available for selection, whilst Isaac Hayden is back from suspension.
An selection this time with clear differing levels of support in the choice of team.
In the over 90% range, as usual Martin Dubravka is at the top (98% support), along with Lascelles (96%) and Saint-Maximin (97%).
Then on over 80% we have Hayden (83%), Willems (83%) and Yedlin (83%), although it has to be said there is no serious competition for their places in the team as things stand today, especially with Sean Longstaff and Matt Ritchie unavailable.
As for over 70%, you have the seventh, eighth and ninth selections, with Fernandez (77%), Almiron (77%) and Clark (72%). Once again the selection made easier by lack of competition, especially Schar and Lejeune missing, although both Clark and Fernandez have been decent.
The final two selections are more competitive.
Despite being poor to average these past two games, Matty Longstaff (70%) keeps his place ahead of Jonjo Shelvey (43%) who has shown nothing so far this season.
Whilst the most talked about player/position sees Joelinton (61%) just edge out Dwight Gayle (57%). Gayle getting comfortably more than half the fans selecting him but just missing out in 12th spot.
This is how the Newcastle team v West Ham looks based on the fan votes with suggested formation from the 11 picked, then the percentage votes (rounded up/down to nearest whole number) for each of the 22 players.
70% Matty Longstaff
