Bad news for Newcastle United and good news for Aston Villa on Jack Grealish
Jack Grealish has been ruled out through injury for the past four weeks.
Aston Villa losing all three games in that period.
Prior to the injury, Villa were on a run of three wins and a draw in their last five games, the only defeat a loss at Man City.
During the international break, manager Dean Smith said that he hoped to have his captain back training ahead of the Newcastle game and available for selection.
On Thursday, Aston Villa have confirmed that Jack Grealish has return to training ahead of Newcastle on Monday.
With still four days until the match, the odds must now be on him being available barring any training setback.
Midfielder Jota is also back training now with the first-team having recovered from a hernia problem.
Jack Grealish had scored in two of the three games directly before his injury and is clearly Aston Villa’s best player.
Villa had scored 12 goals across those five matches before Grealish picked up the injury.
