Arsenal fans comments on reports Granit Xhaka could leave and go to Newcastle – Very enlightening

Arsenal fans have had plenty to say about Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss international stripped of the captaincy and apparently having no future at the Emirates.

Granit Xhaka having eventually reacted to the abuse from the ever patient Arsenal fans.

Reacting to reports he may join Newcastle I have read some very interesting comments from the Arsenal fans below.

There is good and bad news, according to the Gooners…

Good news is that Newcastle could/should get him for free.

Whilst the bad news is that it turns out Arsenal have had the worst player in the world playing for them these three and a bit years!

I am amused to see some Arsenal fans see it as a massive positive that they have driven out Arsene Wenger and now Granit Xhaka to follow, will Unai Emery set to be next. ‘Taking back control and showing not prepared to accept this rubbish’ type of thing….

Yet Newcastle fans are the one who are deluded when we say we aren’t happy about facing a relegation battle every season!

Speaking of NUFC, some of their fans think it sums up just how bad Granit Xhaka is because he could end up at Newcastle United.

Interesting to see where the midfielder does end up and hilarious if Arsenal fans experience ‘real’ disaster, such as mid-table!

Arsenal fans commenting via their Gooners World and Online Arsenal and message boards:

‘Newcastle wanting two Xhakas in midfield is wild.’

‘If he goes to AC Milan, he’s pretty much leaving for free.

They’ll pay £30m+ for random Serie A players, but they know that PL clubs are desperate to offload these types at any price, which tends to be a big fat £0.’

‘£0 would be a great price to get for Granit Xhaka and a super deal for the club.

However, I think ambitious thinking we won’t have to pay someone to take him.

We’ll likely need to offer a club £10m to take him.’

‘Agreed, that’s the trouble with these players who never perform who are on high wages it’s a struggle to shift them, sometimes the only way is to loan them and pay some of the wages,

So as far as I’m concerned if we lose him for nothing without having to subsidise his wages that’s a great deal for the club.’

‘Our players bar a few are rotten to the core, they come here for high wages and the easy life, which is why they’re getting turned over by lower skilled players simply because they’re more competitive.

The only players who are worth fk all in our squad are …………Leno, Sokratis, Chambers, Tierney, Guendouzi, Martinelli, Ozil, Lacazette, Auba, Pepe.

Players like Bellerin, Mustafi and Xhaka etc are literally against the fans, just because they’re so hurt that they copped a bit of criticism once in a while.’

‘Xhaka the cu.. can fu.. off, playing the victim card lol.’

Let’s be honest, we wasted our money on this guy, noone is going to pay good money for a player who hasn’t performed in 4 years for us, these kinda players have no market value, plus his salary is an issue.

‘If we lose him on a free so be it, as long as he’s out of the club I’m happy, we’ll be saving on wages too.

Ironically had we not given him a new contract in Emerys’ first season he’d most likely be gone by now (what an odd decision that was, we let all out top player run down their contracts and yet re-sign this guy up!)’

‘You see this just says it all…Newcastle United.

Emery put his faith in a guy who is only worthy of Newcastle fu..ing Utd, even Iwobi got Everton ffs.’

‘This guy is an arrogant pr.ck. He’s a sh.. footballer who thinks he’s made it.’

‘Sooner he is gone the better for everybody, taxi for Xhaka.’

Xhaka told the fans to fu.. off, took off his shirt in protest and threw the captain’s armband on the floor all coming off the back of 3 seasons of slowing up our team and record penalties and sending offs, fu.. off with that BS trying to blame the fans!!’

‘Xhaka isn’t exactly a bad player but he isn’t suited at all to the PL.’

‘This Xhaka saga is so tiring. He’s more like Bendtner, much ado about nothing. A rank mediocre, should leave quietly. End of.’

‘I see Sky Sports saying Fabian Schar is going to persuade Xhaka to go to Newcastle.’

‘Come on Agent Fabian!’

‘Schar was a great prospect a few years back, in FM.’

‘Xhaka should be sold. But the club will want to control the circumstances under which he leaves. They can’t make it look like they are caving to fans’ demands. It would make the leadership look weak and also make the club look bad to prospective recruits.

That’s why I’m anticipating that a loan deal will be in the offing, and following that, a permanent transfer.’

‘I’m actually surprised the fans have finally found a pair and seem to have so much power over the club, it’s power we haven’t had for donkeys years.

I’d much rather this than no control and wrist slitting, slow death like the wenger years.’

‘Loan deal in Jan please. Let Guendo, Luiz and Torreira fill his spot.

And yes, I am saying loan because like Mustafi, we won’t be able to get rid until his contract expires.’
