Alan Shearer only needs two words to sum up thrilling Newcastle 2 Bournemouth 1 comeback

Alan Shearer was left celebrating at full-time.

Along with every Newcastle fan he had gone through every emotion in an action packed match.

Even in the very final seconds of the 96 minutes, Alan Shearer was left relieved when Josh King missed when it was easier to score.

A corner from the left was flicked on and Josh King had to score.

However, he somehow headed wide, probably worried about colliding with the post.

I have a feeling that if that had been a Newcastle player, the net would surely have bulged.

Bournemouth played some classy stuff, dominating possession, Steve Bruce having his side sitting so deep yet again, Joelinton very isolated.

However, NUFC were committed, almost…Shearer-like!

They hung on in there when rocking at 1-0 down and got back into it with goals that were a mixture of enormous luck and Newcastle players committed to getting on the end of chances.

Our strikers still can’t score and seven of the last nine goals have now been scored by defenders, yet another three points banked.
