Maybe not the best of omens ahead of Newcastle United v Manchester United on Sunday.

Newcastle’s young stars taking on Man Utd’s at Little Benton on Saturday morning.

The home side quickly racing into a two goal lead, Josh Gilchrist and Dylan Stephenson with the goals.

However, very reminiscent of the first team last Sunday, the young Magpies dramatically collapsed, letting in five goals as they fell apart.

Conceding one just over five minutes before half-time and then another four after the break.

The five goals for the visitors coming from Dillon Hoogewerf (2), Anthony Elanga (2) and Billy/William (the) Fish (honestly!). A final score of Newcastle United Under 18s 2 Manchester United Under 18s 5.

Things not exactly going great this season for any of the Newcastle United teams, although the reserves did get a late 1-0 win in the Premier League Cup at Hull on Friday night.

Ahead of Sunday’s Newcastle United v Manchester United clash, this is the combined record of NUFC teams this season, with the breakdown below.

Rafa Benitez said there had to be investment throughout the club and difficult to argue when you see the results.

An overall season so far:

Newcastle United First Team:
