Stunning comments from Leicester fans before AND after hammering Newcastle United 5-0

Leicester fans had plenty to say ahead of Sunday’s game.

Fair to say they had a lot more to talk about afterwards!

However, there are some absolute classics as you wouldn’t believe this is the same group of fans talking about their team.

Before the match the overwhelming mood was basically doubting just how good they were.

A late comeback win against Spurs the previous weekend BUT so many Leicester fans sceptical that they could beat a Newcastle team at home, a Newcastle side that went into the game second bottom of the table.

Only 90 minutes later though and it is bring on Liverpool!

Leicester travel to Anfield on Saturday and now their fans travel with real hope AND a belief that only the scousers and Man City are better than them.

I hope my mood shows a similar improvement/turnaround after Newcastle have played Manchester United!

Leicester fans comments via their Foxes Talk message board, before AND after the 5-0 hammering:

PRE-MATCH:

‘This will be maybe the first major test of progress this season. Forget Chelsea, United and Tottenham – we’ve been comfortably taking points of the “big” clubs since we got back in the Prem.

These are going to park every vehicle from the North East. We’re going to have to have grown.’

‘They offer very little except for dogged resistance. We’ll either get an early goal and stroll to victory, or labour to a 0-0.’

‘That’s the problem though isn’t it, dogged resistance is our kryptonite.

Think it’ll genuinely be a really, really hard game for us unless we’re fortunate with an early goal.’

‘Dreading this.’

‘It’s not going to be pretty!

For the the many reasons why I want us to win, I want us to shut Cabbage Face up the most.’

‘I think the game will be frustrating, tough work and a real challenge, but the way we are playing I think we will break through in the end.’

‘Thinking back to this game last year when I was thinking we’d smash them…

Potential banana skin!’

‘Toughest match of the season, they will it give us an inch, we need to move the ball quick and expect a physical battle.’

‘We were schooled by Rafa!!’

‘First goal will be massive.’

‘It will be a different game but I’m just hoping they’ve lost some of their organisation the longer they spend without Rafa there.’

‘They put in one hell of a performance against us last season – honestly the most impressive “away performance” I saw down at the KP in 18/19. I fear similar tactics, but it would require them to have Ki put in the performance he did, plus someone to bully our backline like our old nemesis Solomon did, for them to smash and grab this.’

Rafa’s Newcastle pressed us last time and nullified our midfield, not giving them time on the ball.’

POST-MATCH:

‘We are bloody brilliant.

We set out with real intent second half.

Bring on Liverpool, we have nothing to fear.’

‘Record premier league win, get in!’

‘Brilliant, just brilliant!

As someone asked earlier, would I take 5th? Would I f..k!’

‘The title winning team were and are legends, but this is the best footballing team I have seen in my lifetime as a Leicester fan. A joy to watch!’

‘Goal difference wasn’t looking too great before today so that’s a massive bonus. Well played by everyone today. Didn’t even look like we were out of second gear for most of that and still demolished them.’

‘How bad are newcastle like.’

‘Newcastle were rubbish.’

‘Weird to genuinely feel like it’s just Liverpool and Man City that are definitely better than us.’

‘First of all fantastic performance.

However Newcastle did not want anything today they were dreadful.’

‘As beautiful as Steve Bruce is ugly.’

‘Dont care if it was only Newcastle

Don’t care if they only had 10 men.

That was absolutely bloody magnificent!’

‘Well done Toon fans & Leicester City.’

‘Newcastle were dog sh.., but I dont care.

A glorious victory.’

‘Stunning. That’s been coming and I’m glad it was against this lot after the last couple of years.

Newcastle were fu..ing awful.’

‘Brilliant performance albeit against a shower of sh..e. Terrible leg breaking challenge had to walk for that. Thank goodness Praet is ok.’

‘Tough match against a really good Newcastle side. Think we just about deserved to win. Won’t play against many teams as good as Newcastle were today.’

‘Someone was due a battering by us. Shame it was the Geordies.’

‘Again I have to question Kaspars contribution to the team. He failed to touch the ball until the 92 minute. Disgrace.’

‘Total dominance. They had 4 touches in our box in 90 minutes.’

‘We have gone from a 1-0 loss at home to Newcastle to spanking them 5-0. Our most creative player didn’t even feature.’

‘We didn’t have to be that good, they didn’t muster a decent effort whole game, their defending was woeful .’

‘Absolutely buzzing with this week. Putting 9 goals past a sh.. championship team and Luton.’

‘Their fans got behind their team even when 5-0 down. I will always respect fans like that especially when they have such an awful owner.’

‘Newcastle were shocking but take nothing away from us, in the past we’d have struggled to get a grip of that type of game even as poor as Newcastle were.’

‘That was honestly one of the most one sided premier league games I’ve seen. We were immense today.

But, you have to feel for the Newcastle fans. Their team showed little to no intensity or drive at all.’
