Best paid Newcastle United player has been named

The best paid player at every(***) Premier League club has been named.

Some spectacular pay packets exposed, not that we didn’t know the salary levels in English football are totally obscene now.

No surprise which clubs have the very best paid players.

At the very top David de Gea is on £375,000.

It is then Man City and Arsenal who are next on the list.

The £350,000 Kevin de Bruyne pockets is no surprise with him being Man City’s best player. However, at the moment Mesut Ozil is picking up the same money for doing nothing, out of favour at Arsenal.

As well as the ‘big six’ certain other clubs have gone above and beyond to keep hold of certain key players, something Mike Ashley has refused to do at Newcastle.

Leicester paying Vardy £140,000 a week and Palace £130,000 to Zaha.

Looking towards the bottom you have the three promoted teams with Norwich at the very lowest, giving their top earner £30,000 a week.

Apart from those three, Newcastle are only higher than Brighton.

NUFC’s top earner not any of the newcomers, with Jonjo Shelvey (also currently not earning his money..) named as the highest Newcastle earner on £70,000 per week, more than any of the recent signings.

The top paid player at each Premier League club as reported by The Star:
