Alan Shearer has previewed the Chelsea v Newcastle United game.

The NUFC legend saying what he expects AND hopes to happen.

Chelsea could go as high as second if they win, whilst Newcastle could drop back into the relegation zone if they don’t win.

Alan Shearer speaking to Coral:

“After a tough first game (losing at Man Utd), Frank (Lampard) and his team have bounced back.

“The youngsters coming into the team and doing very well.

“But they will find it difficult against this Newcastle side because Newcastle will take great confidence from their last game, beating Man Utd in the way they did.

“Young Longstaff, his debut beating Man Utd and scoring at the Gallowgate end, what a day that was for him.

“Newcastle looked much better in the system they set up.

“So it will be tough for Chelsea but they should still win the game…

“But I am hoping¬† that Newcastle go there and put in a real team performance and make it very difficult for Chelsea.

“Chelsea will think they can get to that top four this season and they are looking pretty good.”

The two starting elevens are below with Steve Bruce sticking to the same eleven who started in the win over Man Utd.

Dubravka, Yedlin, Schar, Lascelles, Clark, Willems, M Longstaff, S Longstaff, Saint-Maximin, Almiron, Joelinton
