Sky Sports reveal big two Newcastle United players now fit to face Brighton
Steve Bruce has been talking to Sky Sports on Friday morning.
Only the sixth Premier League game of the season but it is looking a massive match for the two clubs currently filling 16th and 18th places.
The Head Coach giving Sky Sports two bits of very positive news.
As usual, injuries and fitness dominate much of the talk.
Steve Bruce telling Sky Sports that so long as Andy Carroll comes through training ok on Friday, he is set to be named in the squad for Saturday’s match.
The same with Allan Saint-Maximin, the head coach saying he will also be in the squad for Brighton so long as nothing negative happens in training today.
The French winger impressing on the opening day when he came on for the final 23 minutes against Arsenal.
Only for Steve Bruce to then make the ridiculous decision to then start him against Tottenham only 48 hours after he returned to full training after inury. Lasting only 17 minutes before a more serious hamstring injury forced him off.
As for Andy Carroll, he has only started three Premier League games in the past 20 months so it will be a big challenge for him if he is involved.
Here’s hoping that if one or both are involved on Saturday, they are are fully fit and not put at risk of being out even longer.
