Miguel Almiron has rounded off Newcastle United player involvement in internationals for this September schedule.

The NUFC star and his Paraguay teammates facing Jordan on Tuesday.

Almiron was left on the bench and watched on as Jordan scored twice in the final minutes of the first half.

Oscar Romero pulled a goal back on 61 minutes and was then replaced on 68 minutes by Miguel Almiron, the score Jordan 2 Paraguay 1 at the time.

Only six minutes later though and a special moment for the Newcastle attacking player. His first ever international goal and also his first in any kind of football since November, hopefully giving him a boost in confidence ahead of his return to Tyneside.

That equaliser sparked a remarkable turn around, with only a minute later Rojas putting Paraguay ahead for the first time, then in the last minute, Alejandro Romero completed the scoring for a 4-2 victory.

This was only Paraguay’s second win in 23 months, the previous 13 internationals bringing eight defeats, four draws and a single win over Guatemala.
