Newcastle United kids taking Super Cup NI by storm – 13 goals in 3 games so far and into semi-finals
The Newcastle United Academy are excelling in the Super Cup NI.
Regular contenders in the annual Northern Ireland tournament, things could hardly have gone better so far.
They are competing in the under 17s Premier Section, with each match 70 minutes long.
Neil Winskill is in charge of the squad and is assisted by Kevin Richardson.
At 5.45pm this afternoon, the Newcastle United side take on Country Antrim in their semi-final.
Where if the progress, they will face either Valencia or Right to Dream (from Ghana) in the final on Friday.
Newcastle kicked off their group games with a five goal thrashing of County Londonderry in Monday.
This was followed up by a convincing 4-1 win over Hull City on Tuesday.
United then made it a trio of wins when beating Canadian side FC Edmonton 4-0 yesterday (Wednesday) to ensure they finished top of their group.
Not bad going as well scoring 13 goals in three and a half hours of football.
