It ended Newcastle 1 Watford 1 on Sunday afternoon.

Newcastle ending up with a point that takes them out of the relegation zone.

However, not many other positives after this spirited but low quality game against the bottom club.

Newcastle were terrible first half and after conceding on 70 seconds, didn’t have an effort on target until Schar equalised on 41 minutes.

The second-half sprang to life for Newcastle on around 55 minutes and for 10-15 minutes were well on top, having pretty much all their efforts on target in the game, apart from the goal.

However, they quickly ran out of steam and ideas, with Watford on top the final 20 minutes and only Martin Dubravka preventing them winning  it.
