Massive survey of Newcastle United Supporters Trust members shows only 7% against Arsenal Boycott
Ahead of the new season, the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST) have carried out a massive survey of members.
With so many issues concerning Newcastle fans, the Trust has seen a surge in membership this summer.
Asked various questions, an impressive 4,800+ responded to the survey.
Monday night has seen the Newcastle United supporters Trust release some of their findings:
“A massive 91% of supporters are not satisfied with the current communication from Newcastle United towards its supporters.
“This is a message we hope the club take note of as communication between club and supporter should be better than it is.”
Of particular interest though was the more immediate issue of the boycott by fans of the Arsenal game on Sunday.
Asked the question: ‘Do you support the proposed idea of a fan boycott against Arsenal?’. it produced very interesting results.
There were 4,802 NUST members who answered this question and gave the following responses:
4051 (84.36%) Yes, support the Arsenal boycott
316 (6.58%) No, don’t support the Arsenal boycott
435 (9.06%) Undecided
That is a massive proportion in favour of the boycott on Sunday and a very small number saying unequivocally no.
NUST also revealed that even after filtering the results so it showed only those with current season tickets, the boycott of this Arsenal game still had 67% of them supporting it.
