#BruceOut is the Mike Ashley goal
After the shower of proverbial served up at Carrow Road, it was almost as predictable as day following night that #BruceOut would start trending in the immediate aftermath of the match.
No one probably wanted this more than the owner.
The owner’s gift at Newcastle United over the fans, appears to be his ability to divide and conquer.
For years he has managed to deflect attention from his running of the club by standing by Pardew, especially after he kissed heads with that ex-mackem at Hull in 2014, but also during some of the worst run of results in our history. Back then, the attention was deflected onto Pardew whilst the land at the Gallowgate was quietly signed over to another company.
No one is more happier right now than Mike Ashley.
All this anger towards Steve Bruce is taking the attention away from him at a time where positive comments regarding his businesses are at a premium.
We cannot allow him any slack. The protests against him must continue.
Make no bones about it, Bruce’s interviews before and after the match against Norwich highlighted just how out of step and depth he is in the Premier League at this point in time.
Let’s not forget this manager was tactically undone by the self-proclaimed beat coach in the Premier League, and previous Sports Direct patsy, John Carver.
I am still a fan and always will be. I support Newcastle United, not football.
If Newcastle United ceased to exist tomorrow I would not watch football. I have no interest in other teams and could not forgive myself in taking an interest in another club.
Ashley is using this to his advantage. He knows that a lot of fans may think like this, we cannot see past the black and white.
When things go bad for the team we naturally gravitate our feelings back to the pitch. The focus needs to be on Ashley.
One question though. If #BruceOut bears fruit and he does leave (not saying this is imminent but on evidence it’s likely this season) who the hell is 12th on the list AFTER Bruce?
Shudder the thought…
