The only way to get rid of Mike Ashley is by doing nothing – This is why

Anyone remember that first Rob Lee away game at Peterborough under Keegan?

Sheedy goal, 1-0 win and 8,000 mags in full voice (watch below) …. Newcastle United will never be defeated!

And that’s just it, they won’t. Newcastle United will never be defeated.

Attendances may drop, the team may be rubbish, might even get relegated, but there will only ever be one Newcastle United and we will never be defeated.

Want to know why Mike Ashley is hanging on to the club, why he couldn’t care less about improving the team, or losing a world class manager?

Why he doesn’t give a monkeys about renaming the ground and why he hasn’t come out in public and explained what is going on?

Because he can. It’s that simple.

Success on the field means nothing to him, you mean nothing to him. Accept it and get over it, it’s staring you in the face.

There is nothing you can do that is going to change this and that’s exactly what everyone needs to do to win back the club. Literally.

Stop buying the tickets and the shirts and stop the protests.

Treat the owner like he treats you, like you don’t exist.

I never understood the idea that standing up to bullies was a good idea, unless you liked the idea of getting a good hiding. Avoiding them always seemed more sensible to me.

You can’t be a bully without a victim.

So do nothing, be patient, even if it takes years and one day, you know who will get bored and move on. The club will still be there.

Newcastle United will never be defeated.

(That Rob Lee first away match 26 September 1992 – What an atmosphere!)
