On 1 July I will buy my Newcastle United season ticket when I can wear my new ‘Authentic’ £146 kit
I have an exciting day planned for Monday 1 July 2019.
I will be proudly joining the lengthy queues at the St James Park ticket office to get next season’s Newcastle United season ticket.
An unbelievably generous gesture by Mike Ashley.
My season ticket has only gone up by 5% this summer, which is great news, compared to the 20% it went up by in summer 2018.
It is especially good value considering that Newcastle United have managed to fight off interest in all of our top players so far, which just goes to show Mike’s determination for Newcastle to succeed, whether or not he sells the club.
I have held off getting my 2019/20 Newcastle United season ticket because I was waiting for the official kit launch.
Today has seen the exciting launch of the home kit, a new strip which pays fitting tribute to the 1969 Fairs Cup strip according to the official club announcement. You would have to be a very very negative fan to disagree with that comparison, as it is uncanny how similar the colours (black and white) are.
On 1 July I will be getting fully kitted out at the official NUFC club shop and proudly wear the new strip when I walk around to the ticket office to buy my season ticket.
What a bargain the new strip is as well, Mike Ashley keeping the price down to only £146 for the ‘authentic’ (official description of ‘authentic’ below) replica kit.
This comprises of:
£95 ‘Authentic’ 2019/20 replica shirt
£35 Replica shorts
£16 Replica socks
If you want to get it even cheaper, you can ditch the ‘authentic’ £95 shirt for an even cheaper £65 standard one, making the price only £116 to buy the full strip from the club shop (although Sports Direct are undercutting the club shop by 1p if you want to make even more of a saving).
This is such a positive time to be a Newcastle United fan and whilst I know there might be the odd small negative by the time we get to 1 July 2019, such as no Rafa Benitez, still no new signings and no idea who will own the club when the season kicks off, why on earth wouldn’t you be desperate to make sure of your season ticket ASAP.
Remember, the deadline for renewals is Thursday 4 July and just think how gutted you would be if you woke up on Friday 5 July and realised you had missed out and could miss this exciting season ahead…
Description from official NUFC online store for the £95 new ‘Authentic’ 2019/20 replica home shirt:
(Ed: This is honestly what they have in the description…) ‘Show Rafa and his boy that you’re a true Magpie when you hit St James Park in this Newcastle United 19/20 Home Players Authentic S/S Football Shirt from Puma.
Newcastle United have spent 86 seasons in the top flight of English football what is now known as the Premier League. They have won four League Championship titles, six FA Cups and a Charity Shield, as well as the 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and the 2006 UEFA Intertoto Cup, the ninth highest total of trophies won by an English club. The club’s most successful period was between 1904 and 1910, when they won an FA Cup and three of their First Division titles. As their 87th season in the top flight of football approaches the team are looking to make it a victorious one under the famous Spaniard.
There’s no stress when the action heats up as the Thermoregulation technology introduces breathable vents and cooling channels which act quickly to cool the body down during intense sessions, whilst mesh panelling under the arms offer more channels of ventilation. As the authentic match shirt, this top fits close to the body in a slim, form-fitting design. So just like Perez and Ritchie, make sure you don this shirt come game day.’
