Does no Rafa Benitez contract agreement support idea Newcastle United Takeover actually happening?

I have been reading all the negativity and reaction to the Mike Ashley regime following the announcement yesterday that Rafa Benitez will be leaving as of the end of the month (effectively now).

Quite rightly there’s a meltdown and a lot of anger towards Ashley (myself included), as the whole thing could and should have been handled far better …but it appears to me that the (possible) sale of Newcastle United is being slightly overlooked as a result.

With the vast majority of comments (and articles) appearing to be actually associating this negative event, with a belief that it supports the Newcastle United takeover either never existing or having fallen through.

Call me a madly optimistic supporter (in our time of dire need) but I think it actually more supports the theory that the takeover is still progressing.

Ashley may well have a financial gain from not having engaged a new manager at the point of sale. He also gets the benefit of seeing us lot up in arms and if he is selling, I’m sure that would prove too much of a temptation as a parting shot.

There are too many coincidences here … ;

The accounts for the year end (I read) have had their end date moved by a day….

The club has no manager at the point of sale (if I am right there’s still a possibility he could be back under new owners – under their mutually agreed terms – something they cannot do until they take over)

The announcement yesterday nicely fills up the rest of this week with uproar whilst no one asks the right questions about the sale – I haven’t seen any material update stated from the PL

West Brom still believe NUFC are interested in Salomon Rondon … note the word “still” – a throw away comment but surely huge implications as he doesn’t fit Ashley’s (flawed) model, so why would they say that unless its after a sale ?

Jose Mourinho is interested in becoming manager? If that’s true can you see him working under Ashley ???

There is still NOT a statement from Ashley undermining a possible takeover as per previous attempts – there’s simply been not a comment made.Which is totally different to the previous potential sales where they’ve been quick and vocal to state the cash hasn’t been available.

Season ticket prices are up, didn’t that happen at Man City when they were taken over and wouldn’t it be necessary to help allow further investment in the squad after a takeover under the rules of revenue and spends…

I could just be clutching at straws here but in my opinion, nothing that has happened in the last two weeks has been in contradiction to a sale going through and there are reasons why it could all make sense…

Everything crossed for this Newcastle United Takeover now happening.
