Newcastle United now reach absolute crossroads

It is that sliding doors moment at Newcastle United.

An absolute crossroads reached.

Two directions that can be taken, one marked Rafa Benitez and the other being a road to ever increasing madness and despair.

So what would be the differences going in the two directions?

I have came up with 10 here but I’m sure you can add a few more in the comments section at the bottom…

RAFA BENITEZ STAYS

Newcastle will have a top quality respected manager in place.

Decisions on which players are bought and sold will be made by a world class boss who has won the Champions League, La Liga, Europa League, FA Cup…

Newcastle fans will be full of hope that the club can now progress and generate loads of positive energy and talk throughout the summer and into next season.

Most influential player this season, Salomon Rondon, will be bought on a permanent  deal to carry on his excellent form.

Every chance now of momentum from these last two seasons of relative success on a restricted budget, being built on.

Press conferences before and after matches with a manager who talks openly and honestly, respected by the media, ensuring the club is treated with respect.

Crowds of 50,000+ will be guaranteed at St James Park for next season.

Newcastle’s best players can be convinced that now ambition is going to be shown and will be happy to stay on.

Rafa’s experienced and successful backroom staff will definitely stay.

All but zero chance of relegation next season.

RAFA BENITEZ GOES

Newcastle will have a poor quality yes man stooge in place.

Decisions on which players are bought and sold will be made by an unseen/unholy combination of Mike Ashley, Lee Charnley, Justin Barnes, Dennis Wise…and anybody else who the NUFC owner happens to be out drinking with on any particular night.

Newcastle fans will lose all hope that the club can now progress and generate loads of negative energy and talk throughout the summer and into next season.

Most influential player this season, Salomon Rondon, will be allowed to move to a Premier League rival, with Newcastle not even making a bid.

No chance now of momentum from these last two seasons of relative success on a restricted budget, being built on.

Crowds of under 50,000+ will be guaranteed at St James Park for next season.

Press conferences before and after matches with a stooge who says whatever he is ordered to, respected by nobody, ensuring the club is treated as a joke.

Newcastle’s best players can’t be convinced that now ambition is going to be shown and won’t be happy to stay on.

Rafa’s experienced and successful backroom staff will definitely leave.

Every chance of relegation next season.
